Labour has suspended the nationwide strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, have called off the nationwide strike.
This is in order to allow for undisturbed meetings with the tripartite committee discussing the new national minimum wage.
The choice was made following a Tuesday meeting in which labor leaders decided to ease the strike and oversee the federal government’s promises regarding electricity price increases and the new minimum wage.TUC chairman, Festus Osifo, confirmed this on Tuesday.
