Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), lowering the price from N990 per litre to N970 per litre. The company’s Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, made the announcement in a statement on Sunday, explaining that the price cut was a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians.
As the year draws to a close, Chiejina explained that this move is part of the company’s effort to express gratitude to Nigerians for their continued support in bringing the refinery project to fruition. He also acknowledged the government’s support, noting that the price reduction aligns with efforts to promote domestic enterprises and contribute to the nation’s well-being.
Dangote Refinery assured Nigerians that despite the price cut, there would be no compromise on the quality of its petroleum products. The refinery remains committed to delivering environmentally sustainable and high-quality products.
Furthermore, the company emphasized its dedication to increasing production levels to meet the nation’s fuel demands and eliminate concerns about supply shortages.
This marks the first time since the deregulation of the petroleum sector that fuel prices have been reduced.
